El 2 de Julio de 2009, nuestros padres fundadores (Dieguitoo, Dethzero, MatiasZero, Blaster, Luis, Krachimba) se dedicaban a pasar las tardes jugando Battlefield 2 en un servidor de USA llamado '281 Mixed Map Server'. En ese entonces, eran solo unos jugadores más de una larga lista de personas jugando en el mismo servidor. Se conocieron al conformar una simple patrulla en una partida cualquiera. Luego de un par de días de jugar de ese modo ya se habían conocido y siempre conformaban la misma patrulla en el mismo bando.
Un día decidieron nombrar a la patrulla con un nombre personalizado, y le pusieron 'BAD PENGUIN', evocando a los Pinguinos de Madagascar que en ese tiempo estaban de moda y cada uno de ellos se identificaba con la personalidad de los pinguinos (Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, Cabo).
Día tras día, semana tras semana, la misma patrulla de pinguinos empezó a hacerse famosa, debido a que su trabajo en equipo les permitía liderar o voltear partidas completas. Luego los pinguinos aplicaron al clan del mismo servidor, en ese entonces el tag de clan era (281).
Detrás de ellos vinieron todos los demás (Yud, Luis, Sergio, Cronidan, NetShark, SCorPIoN, Nicko, Choreck, Ruben, Kervin), quienes no dudaron en integrarse, conformar patrullas y dominar completamente las partidas a tal punto que los mismos Admins del servidor '281' terminaron baneando a varios de nuestros pinguinos porque nisiquiera usando cheats podían vencernos. ¡ Que dias aquellos !
Hoy dia ya no existe ese servidor ni ese clan, pero una cosa es cierta, despues de todo lo que vivimos, despues de los dias alegres y tristes, al servidor y clan '281' le debemos nuestro agradecimiento, puesto que fue ese clan el que nos permitió conocernos mas allá de las partidas y del Battlefield 2. Hoy debemos agradecer a ese clan y a ese servidor porque sin él, no nos hubieramos conocido y con toda seguridad nuestras vidas serían un poco mas tristes.
Cuando el servidor desapareció, nadie lo dijo, nadie lo mencionó, pero una cosa era clara: conformaríamos un clan, y ese clan no sería igual a los demás, que buscan desesperadamente miembros para llenar sus salas de chat y servidores. Nuestro clan sería distinto, seria exclusivo, sería único, sería una Élite.
Entonces nació el clan Elite Bad Penguin la tarde del 8 de Julio de 2011, y su característica principal seria la exclusividad en la escogencia de sus miembros. No nos interesaría si era buen jugador sino que fuera capaz de sacrificarse por una estrategia, capaz de ayudar a un compañero caido aunque eso le cueste la vida, capaz de permanecer de pie apoyando al equipo aunque se pierda en el intento, nos interesaría que pudiera acoplarse al equipo y que el equipo pudiera acoplarse a él.
Asi fue y asi sigue siendo, cualquiera puede aspirar a ser miembro, pero no cualquiera puede llegar a serlo. Y si, es dificil ser miembro de nuestro clan, es mucho tiempo el que se destina para conocer a cada aspirante. Pero ese es el único modo de saber si el aspirante tiene lo que se necesita para ser un pinguino. Porque para el clan, no se trata de un pinguino mas o un pinguino menos, se trata de un nuevo hermano.
Nuestra historia aun no termina, se escribe a diario. Y con esta política de exclusividad hemos podido reclutar excelentes personas, que siempre fueron pinguinos, pero que no lo sabian (Dragon, Vistwolf, TheTorek, Tanatos, Pier, Charlie, Josemgu91), y que solo cuando aplicaron a ser miembros, fue solo cuestion de tiempo para que se reconocieran a si mismos como los pinguinos que son.
Aun nos falta mucho por recorrer, por vivir, por conocer. Aún nos faltan muchos pingunos que aun no concemos pero que estan allí afuera esperando por nosotros
Siempre es bueno recordar quiénes somos y de dónde venimos. ¡ Siéntanse orgullosos de ustedes mismos y de sus hermanos pinguinos !
On 2th July, 2009, our founder parents (Dieguitoo, Dethzero, MatiasZero, Blaster, Luis, Krachimba) spend their afternoons playing Battlefield 2 on an american server called '281 Mixed Map Server'. By then, they were just 4 more players of a long list of people playing there. They met each other when they created simple squad a normal day. After a couple of days of playing that way, they have met each other in battlefield and they always set the same squad on the same side.
One day they decided to name the squad with a custom name, they wrote 'BAD PENGUIN', evoking to Madagascar Penguins, which where trendy by then and each one of them got identified with each penguin personality (Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, Private).
Day after day, week after week, the same squad of penguins started to make some fame, due to the teamwork that allowed them leading or turning complete matches. Later, the penguins applied to join the clan that belonged to the server, by then the tag was (281).
After them, the others came (Yud, Luis, Sergio, Cronidan, NetShark, SCorPIoN, Nicko, Choreck, Ruben, Kervin), these people didn't hesitate in joining the squads and dominating entire matches to a point where the own Admins of '281' Server ended up banning several of our penguins because nor even using cheats they could defeat us. ¡ What a memorable days !
Today, neither the clan nor the server exist anymore, but one thing is true, after everything we lived, after all the happy and sad days, We owe to the 281 clan and server our most deep gratefulness, because it was that clan that allowed us to meet each other beyond the matches and Battlefield 2. Today we should thank that clan and that server because without them, we wouldn't have met each other and surely our lifes would've been a little bit more sad.
When that server disappeared, nobody said it, but one thing was clear: We will shape a clan, and that clan wouldn't be like all of the rest, which are all the time looking desperately for member to fill their chat rooms and servers. Our clan would different, would be exclusive, would be unique, would be an Elite.
Then, the Elite Bad Penguin Clan was born in July 8th, 2011, and its main feature would the exclusiveness in choosing its members. We would not be interested if it was a good player but if it was able to sacrifice for an strategy, able to help a fallen mate even if that could cost his life, able to stand on foot supporting the team even if he lost in the attempt, we would look for people who could stablish a link with the team and the team could link up with.
That way it was and that way it keeps being, anyone could apply to be a clan member, but not anyone could manage to become one. And yes, it's hard to be a member of our clan, it's a long time destinated to meet and know each applicant. But this is the only way we have to know if the applicant has what it's required to be a penguin, because for the clan, it's not about one more penguin or one less, it's about a new brother.
Our history doesn't finish here, it writes itself every day. And with that policy of exclusiveness we have managed to recruit excelent people, who were always penguins, but they didn't know it (Dragon, Vistwolf, TheTorek, Tanatos, Pier, Charlie, Josemgu91), and only when they applied to the clan, it was just a matter of time for they to recognize themselves as the penguins they are.
We still have a lot to walk, to live, to know. We still have many penguins we don't yet know but who are out there waiting for us.
